I performed Death Bear Ritual as part of Young Joon Kwak's curated program Death Rites. I walked into the room, holding a bear skull in front of me, as a ritual object. Rachel and Sophia bound a the skull to my face with twine. I raised my hands to face level, palms out, showing tribal eye-signs painted there. Blood poured from the bear's mouth, down the front of my white dress, ending the performance.
