This digitally-collaged image is based on a famous spacewalk photo, with the space-suited astronaut replaced by a floating narwhal. Narwhals (Monodon monoceros), the incredible and unique species that helped spawn the unicorn myth, are poached for their beautiful horns (rally long spiraling teeth) and have been deemed at high threat due to climate change.
