As the sun sets, the solar-powered ultraviolet lights begin to illuminate, giving viewers a sense of how pollinators may view the garden. The Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) in this planter is one of the host plants for monarch butterfly caterpillars—and it's bright pink flowers look particularly beautiful under the UV light.
