Proposal for Memento Mori
Step 1: Spend a calendar year traveling, photographing the planet's most endangered flowers.
Step 2. Light them beautifully, and use a black velvet backdrop, as if they were at Glamour Shots.
Step 2. Using the methodology of Dutch still life painters of the 17th c (See: Jan Van Huysum), who would spend a year painting flowers, each in their season, combine these images into a single glorious, impossible bouquet.
Step 3. No skull is needed in this image; it's not about us humans for one.
