Mending Wall, 2022
Reclaimed Chicago cobblestones, blue stone, limestone accent and site stones, reinforcing posts, concrete mesh, native plants
4 x 2 x 24 ft.
In addition, the wall will be surrounded by a new area of native plantings, which will mature in the following years, providing space for contemplation and habitat for birds and pollinators. At the conclusion of the project, the Mending Wall will be dissembled and its stones distributed to community gardens across the citybut the native plant area will remain in perpetuity.
