+ SELECTED EXHIBITIONS > Invasive Species at Salon Series Projects

| Oct-Nov 2013 |

Invasive Species, was a solo exhibition of new works at the Salon Series Projects in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.

As a part of Invasive Species, a salon-style discussion was also held, which included a tasting menu inspired by the artwork, and the artist's passion for vegetarian cuisine and wild foraging. Chef Johnny Clark (co-owner of James Beard-nominated Parachute) provided bites including foraged ingredients like oxalis, beets filled with Douglas Fir-infused cashew cheese and topped with vegetable ash, and an extraordinary 'tasting' of jellied autumn leaves.

Additionally, guests could request copies of Kendler's zine Proposals created for the exhibition.
